Waiting

I found Inara sitting in in her little wicker chair, looking out the window.

"What are you doing?" I asked.
"Waiting for Easter". She answered solemnly.

Grandma sent a package containing (among other things) two Easter eggs.

Summer?

Inara says it's summer and she no longer needs shoes or a jacket. Or coveralls or a hat or gloves. Or winter boots or a scarf. It's about 8 Celsius (40 F or something) outside, so good enough I guess. In reality I can't wait to not have to wrangle her into her winter gear every morning. It's probably one of the worst parts of winter.

Alive

Yes, we are still alive. Just very busy trying to put our house together and doing everything we normally do. Hope you understand.

Alba is growing like a weed and is now completely comfortable sitting by herself. She tries to crawl, but hasn't been able to figure it out yet. She also refuses to sleep at night - which is awesome.

Inara broke both her feet, but seems to be coping alright.

Food!

We've been feeding Alba little bits and pieces from our plates for a while, but aside from a pureed carrot fail, last night was the first time she had some real food. Pureed peas were on the menu and she gave the thumbs up.
